Catch the Spirit…and join STSI’s network of Members, Sponsors and Community Partners including, the United Nations, Businesses, Government and Organizations in uplifting our country and indeed our world!

Cheryl Brannan, STSI founder and CEO stated that, “Sister to Sister International’s STEM Initiatives are aligned with President Obama’s goal to increase the graduation rates of Americans with degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  The US ranks 20th among all nations in the category of 24-year-olds who earn degrees in natural science or engineering. Overall in the US,  girls of color are underrepresented in the fields of  STEM.  We have to reverse this low ranking trend ‘across the board’ if we are to make America more competitive globally, now and in the future.”

With your help STSI can expand our Annual STEM Camp and facilitate a robust year round Academy for high school girls of color, that will support an increased number of college degrees earned in STEM fields by underrepresented groups, in the US – ultimately making us more competitive globally.

Help us reverse the trend and donate today!

Global Affairs

(STSI) holds Special Consultative Status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, is affiliated with the Department of  Public information and collaborates with the World Health Organization on health campaigns.  We support the United Nations Platform for Action on women and its objectives regarding race and gender Equality, Development and Peace, as well as the Millennium Development Goals.

During their 15th Annual UN Day, Sister to Sister International, Inc., a local nonprofit and partners will sponsor a UN Tour and Briefing for over fifty, middle and high schools students from Yonkers, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and White Plains and the NYC area.

Students gain a better understanding of the UN’s role in current events, learn about the Millennium Development Goals, as well as, the importance of eradicating violence against women, poverty reduction and gender equality along with the opportunity to network with students from around the world.

With your financial support, STSI will be able to expose more youth to the UN and assist in connecting them to on-going global programs and projects adding to their overall education experience.
